Second, product experience is constantly improving. With the continuous cross-border integration of industries, more and more IT companies and lighting companies are cooperating to build ecological chains and standards, and introduce new technologies such as voice control and sensor control;
Third, the cost has been declining and the number of participants has increased. The increase in shipments will inevitably bring about a drop in costs.
Regarding the issue of unification of standards, Xiao Peng believes that at the level of connectivity, the realization of interoperability between products of different vendors is relatively rare in China. Currently, more is done to achieve a unified standard at the level of the cloud interface, and products under the same ecosystem Interoperability, a good ecosystem can bring better user experience and sales growth to a single product, while a single product also promotes the richness and development of the ecosystem, both of which are mutually reinforcing relationships. At present, some ecosystems are really promoting sales of smart lighting products, such as the ecology of various voice controls, which brings a bright spot for smart lighting.
Not only that, the development of communications technology has also led to a diversified trend of intelligent lighting, then in this area, who have advantages in these communication protocols?
Xiao Peng said: “There are many smart lighting communication protocols, ZigBee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other technologies have their own advantages, and they all have shortcomings. Look at what kind of smart lighting applications are used. For example, in outdoor lighting, LoRa, NB Low-power WAN technologies such as IoT are more suitable; in the home area, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth mesh, and ZigBee are all suitable. To see how many lights are connected, if the number is relatively large, you must use mesh networking. Bluetooth mesh or ZigBee, etc. The commercial lighting field emphasizes stability and reliability, large-scale network deployment, and easy installation.Wired protocols such as DALI are more stable and reliable than wireless, but they are not as convenient as wireless installation in the aftermarket. It will make a choice based on cost, performance, etc."
